Best of the Week 2010: Week 1

It has returned. The NFL is back people, and with it of course brings one of our best features: Best of the Week. This season though look for some changes in your favorite segment, as we'll feature less .gifs than last year. This of course will mean faster page loading for everyone, so you can get to viewing the good stuff faster. In it's place will be a larger assessment of youtube videos, which will load much faster on most browsers.

This week of course brought with it many epic moments. Big hits, bad calls, and Phillip's patience falls, all this and more after the jump.

The Jets Misfit Passing Game

With the recent acquisition of "high-profile" wide receiver, Santonio Holmes from the Steelers, the Jets have "enhanced" their receiving core. This combined with the addition of Braylon Edwards last season from the Browns, the Jets have made a name out of their pass offense to go along with their top ranked run game and pass defense. The question is however, does this name come from talent or trouble? Hit the jump to find out.

Why the Jets never could have won the superbowl (and why they won't for awhile)

To some the Jets recent loss to the Colts in the AFC Championship game may have come as a surprise, considering that they had already upset their way that far in the playoffs. Despite having the best defense and running game in the league the Jets could not keep up with the Manning Master. Hell even we claimed that the Jets were the AFC team to watch for an upset.  However, at the end of the day it's not that surprising for a number of reasons which we'll cover after the break:
