This week of course brought with it many epic moments. Big hits, bad calls, and Phillip's patience falls, all this and more after the jump.
Whether you agree with the call or not, it is undeniable that Calvin Johnson made the catch for the touchdown to win the game against the Bears. However, Megatron dropped the ball before it was declared a touchdown and thus it was overruled, granting Chicago the victory.
"Fuck you ball, i've had enough of your shit."
The biggest surprise of the week was easily the fall of Kevin Kolb and the rise of Michael Vick. In their season opener against the Packers, Philly's new QB had two options, prove himself by overcoming the odds and defeating Arron Rodgers and the Packers, or fail and face the wrath of Philadelphia fans. Of course Kolb saw the fork in the road and went straight, which of course was getting a concussion and getting taken out of the game.
As the second string QB, Vick went under center with uncertain expectations from everyone. Would this be the same player as last season who lacked the skill or speed which he once possessed in Atlanta, or had he found a way to regain that which he once held. The answer was closer to the later, as Vick brought the Eagles offense to life and nearly defeated the Packers. The real question now is whether the former felon will be starting next week if Kolb is ready to play. We here at 18-1 of course endorse Vick for this position, as he not only makes the game far more interesting with his play style.
The first monday night game featured New York facing Baltimore at New Meadowlands Stadium, where the Jets were expected to back up all their off-season hype. Of course that didn't happen as the Jets offense proved futile against Ray Lewis and the Ravens. Whether Sanchez and the rest of the offense are as bad as they appeared on monday night remains to be seen. At the moment however the Jet's best offensive player is their center, Nick Mangold.
Of course Ray Lewis proved that he's still to be feared.
Even when he completes his passes Sanchez brings nothing, but pain to his teammates
A hit so epic it needs 2 .gifs

Continuing the trend of Monday Night games, the Chargers had a poor performance against their division rivals, the Kansas City Chiefs. The only thing more embarrassing than their on field play was the behavior of their quarterback, Phillip Rivers, who threw one of his trademark tantrums on the field.
