Best of the Year of the Week of the Year Part 1

Throughout this NFL season we experienced a lot of things. From the good, to the bad, to the strange, here's a look through of some of the things that we learned this year in the NFL.

That Miles Austin is an amazing receiver who makes Tony Romo look 3x better than he actually is, and that he also has one of the most disturbing/horrifying smiles I have ever seen in my life. Seriously if I saw that grin when walking down a dark alley at night I would probably shit my pants for fear of being devoured by those pearly chompers.

To not mess with Donald Driver, as he will fuck you up without even thinking twice about it. Seriously, anyone who thinks that Hines Ward is the toughest receiver in the league because of the dirty blocks that he throws needs to see more of Driver. I hate the Packers with all of my being, but I have to say that I will never question Donald Driver's toughness.

In a play that seemed like something out of a poorly made Hollywood football film (where football is made to look it's played by hybrids of men and rhinos), we learned that Vikings apparently can fly. Of course ESPN would probably credit this play by the Minessota Defense to Brett Favre somehow.

Despite having a down-season, I am proud to say that the Bears still have the coolest D-Linemen in the NFL.

Where the Bears have awesome celebrations, it appears that the Patriots rank last in the league in terms of coming up with cool or sensible celebrations. Just another notch on the Patriots list of this season's failures.

This particular scene was no surprise to Bears fans, as we all knew that Orton is not one to take shit lightly, and unlike Phillip Rivers he doesn't talk tough and then walk away when faced with signs of rebuttal from those bigger and stronger than him. Whether it be courage, insanity or drunkenness, it's clear that Orton lives up to the neckbeard he wears.

Apparently when they run out of flags to throw the NFL Refs are to resort to throwing their hats off of their heads. I'm not exactly sure how effective this tactic is, but it seemed to work in this situation.

This isn't exactly anything new, however it is just another piece of evidence of Tom Brady's douchiness. As Suzy Kolber was trying to get Brady to do a short interview after the Week 1 game against the Bills, Brady just kept on walking despite her pleas for him to just stop for 1 minute. What exactly was so important that Brady could not stop to show common courtesy? Was there another woman he needed to impregnate and then ditch?

Just goes to show that Chris Johnson is not just a really fast Running-back, but a hell of a blocker as well. I'm not sure if he anticipated having to make the block like that, but he looks pretty badass doing it.

Aside from learning that Vince Young can be a good QB when he wants to be, we also discovered that he can rip your shit as well. I don't even know what he was thinking with that tackle form, but it worked so I'm not going to question it.

Probably the most important thing that we learned this year is that Ricky Williams is still good, and still dangerous. If he goes on his word from the pre-season and retires after this season, the Dolphins will be losing one of their biggest offensive weapons, and the league will be missing it's hemp hero.

Worst Plays of the Year:

This sums up the Raider's entire season.

Stuff like this is why Flacco won our Rex Grossman Award.

What is there to say about this awful attempt at a shovel pass, aside from it being god awful.

4th and 2

We try not to say anything that might be positive for the Patriots, but that was just an awful tackle.

The Raiders should rename themselves the Stooges

When you can't block the Lions you are truly an awful O-Line.

The Raiders really just make this way too easy.

This pretty much sums up the CFL in itself.

Of course it wouldn't be a complete season without some Lions failure.

This clip really does represent the Patriots' entire season. Failure with everyone else cheering as they killed themselves with stupid mistakes.

They eventually won the game, but this play really just sums up what the Browns season was like. Hilariously stupid goofs and random guys not watching the game going on behind them.

Stay tuned for part 2 of the Best of the Year of the Week of the Year where I will review the best moments of the year.
