End of Regular Season Power Rankings

It's been a great year and a good start here at 18-1. Here are the final power rankings for this season. Look for us to post offseason pre and post-draft power rankings also to start off next year. We will have playoff predictions and other rambles and false prophecies later this week.

1
The Chargers become the first new #1 in a long time based solely on the fact that the Colts are the strongest team in the playoffs vs. everyone, except the Chargers. The Bolts always beat the Colts.

2
l
If they can root hard enough for the Chargers to lose in the divisional round they will be our favorites to make the Super Bowl. If not, according to history, they will have a tough time getting there.

3
h
They have had a hard time stopping the running. Luckily for them the  teams they could face are predominatly passing squads.

4
h
Going into the Cowboys game they were incredibly hot especially on offense. Look for them to bounce back like they did after the loss to the Raiders and put up some offensive numbers.

5
l

It's very possible they could end up having a rematch vs. the Cards or end up playing an epic game against the Packers. Either way it will be a ton of fun to watch.

6
I like all the teams that lost this week because I just can't see them losing to the same team 2 games in a row. During this game Kurt should be more on track.
7
e
The Pats are pretty hot right now.

Unfortunately with Wes Welker now out for the whole playoffs they might not go as deep in the playoffs as they could.

8
l
They could be the hottest team in the NFC right now but it is just really hard to go with the Cowboys in the playoffs. Wade Phillips has won 0 playoff games, Andy Reid has never lost in the first round.

9
l
They will be hungry to win and get a chance at Favre and the Vikings in the next round.

10
l
They Bungled their way into the playoffs and get a chance at redemption vs. the Jest. I think they can pull it off but it might be one win and done for them.
11
f
They have a good chance to beat the Pats now that Welker is out.
12
h
The JEST were handed a playoff spot on a platter by the NFL Gods. Let us see if they can take advantage of it...
I doubt it.
13
l
The Texans did all they could. Congrats to them on their first winning season. They can take that and build on it next season.
14
l
The last 2 seasons the Broncos have been the ultimate choke artists. Next year they won't have Marshall either.
15
l
I think they can win the AFC East next season with either a recovered Chad or a 1 year improved Chad at the helm. Ronnie will be back and if Ricky chooses to not retire they could do some good things.

16
jk
Chris Johnson is the man. Other than that they have a pretty flat offense because I still don't believe in Vince.
17
hh
What was the last team to win the Super Bowl then not make the playoffs the next season? The 2006 Steelers.
18
l
They are going to have a fantastic rushing tandem for many years to come. A few minor fix ups on the defensive side and a solid QB and this team will be good.
19
l
It's all about the 3 word names with the Jags. MJD and MSW will lead them on offense.
20

Looking to build on their first back to back winning season in a while they should just work on the defense in the offseason. With their young offensive talent they should easily get their 3rd winning season in a row next year.
21
The Niners are on a fast upswing after years of crap and since they are in the weak NFC West they could take it next year. It also helps that they have 2 first round picks.
22
h
The Giants have a ton to work on in the offseason. Mostly on the defensive coordinator side of things. I think the offense will be in sync since the young talented WRs will have another year under their belt and a healthy Jacobs, Bradshaw, and Andre Brown will be benefitial.
23
k
Fire Zorn, check. Now they just need to keep the faith in Campbell.
24
l
The highly injured defense will be back next year including leader Brian Urlacher. Their offense should see improvements also with Cutler learning and all the young talent gaining experience. An offensive line boost would help immesnly.
25
l
They need a ton of help on defense and just more consistency and chemistry on offense. They have the offensive talent they just don't do anything with it.
26
Riding a 4 game win streak into next season is great. Look for Mangini to be fired cause hes a fat slob, and look for Harrison, Cribbs and the crew pick up where they left off.
27
They don't have much of a defense and its still all new coaching so don't expect too much. That being said there should be a big improvement over last year as everyone gets to know each other in this organization.

28
h
Tom Cable should be fired, followed by Jamarcus, and finished by Al Davis dying. If ALL three of those things happen they can have a better season next year.

29
jj
They have a few talented palyers here and there on defense so maybe a few additions will pull that group together. Offensivley the Hawks need a new QB and a new gameplan.

30
ll
They have decent WRs, a decent QB, and a rising young RB. The biggest problem is there defense and their super angry coach.

31
ll
Megatron will be Megatron. Other than that the Lions will be the Lions. Theres a lot that needs fixing but they could improve again to 3 or 4 wins next year.
32
j

Beyond SJax and Avery they really don't have much to look forward to with the team as it is.
