Week 8 Power Rankings

This week was the week of the blowout. Almost half of the games had a 3 TD or more difference in scoring. We learned some things about the top teams and the bottom teams, but the middle is just a jumbled, close mess. Rankings after the break.

Hopefully Wayne and Brown are
okay. Other than that everything went as expected this week.

2 (2)

That was a close one. Brees
has been really inconsistent this year as shown again this week. But for now
they remain undefeated and #2 because of their ability to comeback in hostile
territory.

3 (4)

Had a bye this week

(8)

The defense played well and they O-line opened up plenty of holes. Palmers 5 TDs were impressive though he didn't have to go far to score most
of them.

5 (3)

Don't believe the hate that Eli and G-men are going to be getting. These two losses aren't going to hurt them in the long run, and a win over the rival Eagles is a perfect way to bounce back into sync

6 (7)

Beat a bad team again, but again took care of things easily like a good team should. But nothing was perfect as Brady threw 2 int's and the run game was only ok. Defense played well.

7 (11)

Congratulations! You're still assholes. They just made fewer mistakes than Minnesota offensively. But the D looked great.

8 (6)

Favre wasn't so super clutch
against the Steelers Defense. When you pass 50 times and only run to AP 18
you lose. This is AP's team not Favre's.

9 (5)

What a mess that game was. Pass
defense was terrible. They are continuing what KC did last week in helping
Austin look like God Almighty. They need to protect Matt Ryan again.

10 (10)

Had a Bye this week

11 (13)

Losing Leon hurt but wow did Greene play well. Great rushing game and Sanchez didn't mess up = win.

12 (14)

Texans played well offensively again
against a pretty good defense, but really hit a wall in the second half.

13 (9)

As shown by the buttrape the Bengals gave them, the Bears are not a passing team. When they attempt to be, they get shit on. They need to have more confidence in Forte and the running game. Playing the browns next week will help them re-cooperate.

14 (17)

Like said early, they are a better team than the record will show. Showed a great effort against the Saints. Next week against the Jets should be a good game.

15 (16)

Either the Giants figured out how to fix their pass defense just enough to be mediocre, or the Cardinals offense isn't as good as
before. Rush defense got outplayed by their pass Defense for the first time this season.

16 (15)

They bounced back from the Raiders game. Desean Jackson was explosive all over the field but they lost him and Westbrook in the process. Other than a few big plays though they didn't move the ball well.

17 (12)

They looked really bad but then Alex
Smith came in at halftime and he went all
PHILLIPP RIVVERRSSS on the Texans. But it just wasn't enough.

18 (19)

They exploited the Falcons bad
pass D and finally got a good team effort together but they still made way
too many mental mistakes.

19 (18)

They beat up a bad team, which is good, and the offense was clicking. Defense dominated but it was vs. the Browns...

20 (20)

PHILLIP RIVVERSSSSS!!! Knows how to score vs. bad defensive teams. Good for him. They need to figure out how to get LT and Sproles running better.

21 (21)

Had a Bye this week

22 (22)

Had a Bye this week

23 (25)

They just played a worse team this week. Offensively not too much looks above average but the defense did its job. Of course it was against Delhomme.

24 (24)

Had a Bye this week

25 (27)

Yes they lost. Yes they still moved up in the rankings. They played better and against a good team than everyone below them. Besides 2 big plays the defense was solid.

26 (23)

More Int's from Delhomme and more defensive problems against the Bills. I don't know what's more shocking this season, the Titans or the Panthers.

27 (28)

They can't protect Cassel and their 3rd down conversion rate is abysmal. Not too much is going right over in KC.

28 (26)

They let 2 players get over 120
rushing yards in one game? The game against the Eagles was a fluke but at
least they learned to bench Jamarcus.

29 (31)

They flew all the way to London for that? At least they picked Brady off a few times.

30 (30)

Had a Bye this Week. Though the real
Titans played on Nebulan 9 today.

31 (29)

The Packers took care of them with ease. Pass defense was bad, rush defense was bad, Anderson was bad, running game was bad...

32 (32)

I hear the colts went easy on them...Next week against Detroit so maybe this is their chance to get that elusive first win.
