In case you forgot, Breesus is still awesome
It has been awhile since the NFL season ended with Drew Brees'us' leading his Saints to a Superbowl victory over the Colts. Of course anyone who is frequent visitor to 18-1 knows that we consider Drew Brees to be the coolest man in the league, if not the entire world. Seriously, the guy saved the soul of a city single handily, and I like to imagine that if Brees were on the Saints before Katrina that he would literally have saved everyone who was stuck in the flood by holding back the water with pure awesomeness. More after the jump.
Recently, Brees has been voted onto the cover of Madden '11 by fans. Unless you have been living under a rock for the past 10 years, you have most likely heard of the Madden curse which plagues anyone who graces the cover of the only official NFL video game with injury or misfortune for that season. As fans of Brees we were obviously worried by this turn of events, as we did not wish to see our favorite birth marked QB fall to the same fate as players such as Donovan McNabb, Mike Vick (pre-dogfights) and Vince Young. However, if anyone can break the curse it has to be Brees, as he already broke several curses last season (winning the Saints a Superbowl, winning a Superbowl despite losing to the Bucs which has never been done before, winning a Superbowl with Reggie Bush on your team, etc).
Anyway the point of this post is to exhibit Brees' domination at a recent softball game:
