| 1 | This was a back and forth choice but the Colts land the #1 spot because they can look forward to getting some stars back on the field. They played all last season without Anthony Gonzalez and Bob Sanders and still had great success.
| 2 | They lost Scott Fujita and have not resigned Darren Sharper as of now. The Saints concerns were solely defense, obviously, and more specifically their rush defense. Losing Fujita hurts, but they did add Alex Brown.
| 3 | Aaron Rodgers has improved vastly each season and looks to be #2 in the NFC just behind Drew Brees. They also have the pass defense to compete with the Vikings WR's and the pass rush to mess up Favre's game.
| 4 | If Mark Sanchez can go back in time and not be a USC quarterback they would be higher up in these rankings. Adding Antonio Cromartie to that pass defense is scary and they are trying to improve the offense with risky adds like LT and Holmes.
| 5 | They have a stout defense but unfortunately it is aging and isn't the same as years ago. The plus side is that they could have a breakout offensive season with Ray Rice, McGahee, Flacco and newly added stud Anquan Boldin.
| 6 | If the Vikings were going to make it to the Super Bowl it was last season. Even if AP pulls a Tiki Barber and magically fixes his horrendous fumblitous in one year they are still going to have problems beating out the Packers.
| 7 | The Chargers are relying on Sproles to be an everyday back and that could backfire. Their already iffy defense is now without their top CB but they still should win their division with their passing game.
| 8 | The Phins could slowly move their way up this list as the season progresses and even after the draft since they have the 12th pick. This strong team has an improving Chad Henne, a superstar WR in Brandon Marshall and Karlos Dansby at LB to look forward to this season.
| 9 | I don't like Jim Rome, but I'm going to paraphrase him anyways, "The Cowboys have an offensive coordinator at head coach simply because he isn't a threat to Jerry Jones and knows his place." This era of the Cowboys franchise is always going to be filled with talent and a lack of success.
| 10 | This is the Texans year to make a great playoff push. They play in a tough division but after having their first winning season in franchise history they are going to make an improvement. They have a stout offense and their young talented defense is getting better.
| 11 | More than ever the Eagles are a huge question mark. They are always up and down throughout the season, and now with the loss of McNabb we will have to see how well Kolb can play.
| 12 | The Pats could easily end up in 3rd place in the Easy and miss the playoffs for the 2nd time in 3 years. Their offensive line is aging, their defense is nothing like it used to be and who knows what Brady and that offense will do this year.
| 13 | The Falcons are like the NFC version of the Texans. They have a very talented young offense and an improving defense. They see to just be a step behind the Texans in ability, but they could easily end up a top 10 team at season's end.
| 14 | It is hard to trust the Bengals again. They do have a good offense if Carson Palmer can play well again but who knows. I just don't think their defense can play at the same level again this season.
| 15 | If Vince can repeat they could try for a wild card push. Unfortunately the Texans and Colts are better than them and they have to play 4 of their games vs. those teams. It's all about who will show up this season; the 0-6 Titans or the 6-2 Titans.
| 16 | The Panthers are similar to the Titans. We won't know until the season starts which team is going to show up. Yes they lost Peppers, but they also lost INTDELHOMME. Matt Moore looks like he can be pretty good in that offense with their dominant running game and talented receiving corps.
| 17 | This is the Niners year to win the division, yet they are still ranked 17th in the league. That goes to show how poor the NFC West is. None the less they really should breeze through it as they are by far the most talented team in the division. The Cardinals chances are gone, and the Rams and Seahawks are both terrible.
| 18 | Da Bears are another team that suffer from having 2 great teams ahead of them in their division. Luckily they are on the upswing as Cutler should improve in this system and their previously injury devastated defense will be healthy and much stronger.
| 19 | Jesus H. Christ. Still say fire ALL the coaches but at least the D-Coordinator is gone. The Giants have to hope that their partly aging O-Line can hold up and be dominate again. Couple that with a very talented young WR corps, a less mistake prone Eli and a more effective running game and they could be good. It's all hanging on how the defense performs.
| 20 | The Squealers are the laughing stock right now of the league. They are like the Bengals of years past as they can't seem to keep off the field incidents from happening to their players. I honestly think they will be even worse than last season. Mike Wallace stepped up but he can't do it on his own in that offense and how long can Hines Ward dirty play his way through an old career? I'm not even going to address Big Ben here.
| 21 | Kyle Orton or Brady Quinn...KYLE ORTON. He best start if they want a chance to compete in the AFC West. Luckily that division is pretty poor. Their defense should be great again but offensively they really won't have much of an ability to score unless McDaniels pulls more miracles.
| 22 | Some people think adding McNabb will do wonders for the Skins. There are 2 things one must consider when ranking the Skins though: 1. They ALWAYS add big names in free agency and they never add up to wins and 2. I really don't think McNabb will be that great of an improvement over Campbell in this offense. There will be a few wins they can pick up because of McNabbs abilities, but they won't be enough to put them into playoff contention.
| 23 | Will they draft Tim Tebow or will they lose more fans and move to Las Vegas? They have a pretty good offense because of 2 three letter guys: MJD and MSW. The defense went from good to non existent last season so we will have to see what it is this season.
| 24 | I feel bad for the Cards, I really do. They had their chance but now that time has passed. No more Anquan Boldin, Karlos Dansby, Antrel Rolle (To the Giants, YEAH), or Kurt Warner. The most important thing is not who they lost but who they have playing... Matt Leinart. Ouch.
| 25 | The Browns ended the season on an impressive hot streak with the leadership from the great Josh Cribbs. Maybe Delhomme can find some new life in Cleveland and they will move up in the rankings. If not they could be a bottom feeder again this year.
| 26 | They Cheifs really need to improve their protection of Matt Cassel. They have some talent from their WR's and RB's, but it's all naught when they can't protect the QB or open up any holes for Charles.
| 27 | They can't be as bad as last season after all the random personnel changes early in the season. I see Josh Freeman improving and they could have a slightly better season this time around.
| 28 | Stafford could improve, and they always have Megatron to carry the weight of the offense. Adding Kyle Vanden Bosch, Nate Burelson, Corey Williams and Rob Sims are all huge improvements for Detroit. Look for them to get a few more wins this year finally!
| 29 | Pete Carroll will not help this team, in fact he will more than likely hurt it.
| 30 | How many really fast athletic non talented players, and more specifically wide receivers, will Al Davis draft this year? The good news is if they start Gradkowski the whole season they will be better than last year.
| 31 | They have to draft Bradford, even though they aren't signing him before hand, they have to. Adding him will do for them what Stafford did for the Lions and get them a few more wins. They always have SJax too.
| 32 | The Bills are just getting worse. They've done nothing productive this off season and I don't think they will any time soon. |
