Off Topic Tuesday: Why Hotpockets are an Abomination

There are not many foods that could be called much more than poor tasting or hard to eat, however there is one which goes above the call to become something much more sinister. The ever innocent Hot Pocket is actually the cause of much suffering in the world that we live in today, as it can claim the title of the worst food item of all time. You may be wondering how I can justify such strong claims against such a popular snack, which is alledgedly loved by many. To those who are familiar with some of my older works you may recognize that this edition of OTT is very similar to a piece that I wrote back in 2007. Hello reader, welcome to the first addition of Off-Topic Tuesday here at 18-1. This is the weekly column where I, Ted Shaw, will be your guide to a specific thing that is bugging me and I want to rant about. There are no specific rules or guidelines to what that could be, only that it will not be sports related.

Because it's only the first week for this, I thought I would post a piece I submitted to my school paper (The Mirror), but was rejected, probably for being way too awesome. Keep in mind this was written in september, and the topic is relevant to the time. That being said it's funny, and you should read it, because I wrote it goddamnit!
