First up, what we've all been talking about, the Colts domination over the Patriots. Of course, everyone is talking about how good Brady and the New England offense did, but if you'll notice in the highlights below, nearly everything is done by Randy Moss. By that I don't mean that Brady throws good passes to Moss, but rather that he literally just dumps it off to him and he makes big plays. If you thought that the Pats biggest offensive key was Brady, well then obviously you didn't pay attention last season, because Randy Moss just proved that the Pats Offense is nothing without him.
Oh course the Colts still have their own star player who isn't Peyton Manning, Reggie Wayne.
However when it came down to the ultimate battle to see who was more clutch, the combination of Bellicheat's lack of real coaching skill and Brady's lack of real skill stopped the Pats short from being able to gain two yards.
You know what really would have been a genius and simple play in this situation? A draw play, but of course the Pats wouldn't know how to do that
Oh and if you hadn't heard it seems that Bellicheat has his own personal set of douchebag bodyguards to push down cameraman when he loses. That being said here's a montage of Pat's failure reactions.
Ok enough Pats bashing (for now), let's move onto less epic things.
The Falcons have lost 3 of their last 4 games (to the Panthers, Saints and Cowboys) after this week. While Atlanta is beginning to lose strength their division rivals, the Panthers, have been climbing their way out of the hole the Jake Delhomme got them into (probably all the chicken he ate in the offseason), one week at a time. After beating the Cardinals and nearly dethroning the undefeated Saints, the Panthers put some heat on Matty Ice.
However the Falcons weren't down and out yet, as they still had their all-star running back, Micheal Turner...
Here I come to save the day!!
...Or at least they did until he got injured. Then the Panthers decided to unleash the beast on Atlanta from both land..
and air...
Meanwhile in the NFC West, the Cardinals were trying to keep their lead in the division race from the reemerging 49ers. Oh course when you're playing the Seattle Seahawks this isn't very difficult...
Ok that's more like it (Beanie Wells FTW)
And of course the Cardinals wouldn't be the Cardinals without the passing attack
You're probably wondering where Matt Hassleback and the Seahawks Offense was...
